Was having the Wing32 problem. Downloaded it from dll-files.com, put it in both the SYSTEM32 and SYSWOW64 folders. And it runs!

Used to play this game online as TGoGF. I was the “ghost”. I built scenarios like gordo. Remember him and Grudge. If there is a way to play online, I’d be interested in it.

I am not connected with this site in any way!!! I found a place you can get cwg2 for about 19 to 25 dollars.. it will play on win 10 for sure and maybe Windows 11. You need a CD ROM but you can buy one for about 19 bucks and stick in your Windows 10 computer. The place is called allclassicsvideo.com. check the reviews if you ever played or liked the game a lot. Anyway, this is only for those that played the game or wanted to and loved it. Not trying to sell it had no part of it. But I still play the campaign over and over!!!

I used to love playing this game. Was very good at it; nickname was Gordo; very seldom lost. Played back in the days with Grudgebringer, whose name I haven't seen for probably 20+ years. The AI was terrible. When I wasn't playing online I would play against myself.
Used to create a lot of fictional battles with the editor that we'd play online. Had quite an online community back then. A lot of us traveled to many Civil War battlefields once a year (Gettysburg, Shiloh, Chickamauga, Antietam, maybe one or two more). Great time, great guys. Been trying to find this game again and see if it's playable on the new modern computers.

Bro this game lives in my repressed memories. My dad had it when I was super young, and I was highkey mad as hell when I couldn't fine it. Really glad I did.

I was the Monitor (red shirt..LOL, to keep the peace so to speak). At the time i was the highest ranked player on the site (I suppose that is why I was made Monitor, as everyone knew me). I have just discovered a site that says it can take ANY windows program (XP, 7) etc and make it play on windows 10...I have it CUSTOM loaded (cost a little) on my 7 computer, but still have the CD and box. I ordered that application, (I think it is a CD) and expect it this week (today is 1/21/21)...( will put it on my Windows 10 Computer and try and it out...IF it works..I will try and find this again and Post...if you know ANY other players from the old days or now..let them know...I can only hope!!

I could play this game online 10 hours a day. Loved the multiplayer battles. Someone please tell me, is there any way to play this game online?
